HEAVY SUNSHINE - POLLY’S BREW CO.

Another quality IPA from Polly’s Brew I enjoyed in the sunshine yesterday. I had this in my parents garden for my Dad’s Birthday and it did not disappoint. On opening, hops and tropical flavours dominated the aromas. An opaque deep yellow/orange beer with a small temporary white head. The beer had a decent mouth feel, with a medium body and a lively but light feeling carbonation. Juicy is the perfect word to describe the beer and the complex mix of hops; Citra, Mosaic and Enigma certainly provided a tropical and hoppy tasting experience combining with a pleasant bitterness. The beer was very refreshing, juicy, tropical, with underlying hops/Citra throughout. It was lovely supping in the sun. This beer used kveik yeast and it certainly resulted in a crisp/tasty beer from Polly’s Brew Co. Of late we have been spoiled by so many excellent beers from Polly’s Brew Co, both Heavy Moon & Porta just edged this one for me however I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again. This was a pleasant edition at 6.5% ABV that was juicy, tropical and to be enjoyed in the sun as the name suggests.
